Who we are
La Nueva Casita Cafe is the oldest restaurant in Las Cruces, starting out in 1957 as La Casita Cafe by the Herrera’s and being rebranded in the 90’s by the Salazar family as La Nueva Casita Cafe. Today, La Nueva Casita is a leader in southern New Mexico cuisine, employing a blend of old world recipes, local know-how, and cultural influences that go back centuries. Proudly located in the oldest neighborhood in Las Cruces, along what used to be the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro. Our business honors our roots and heritage by serving high quality Southern New Mexico Cuisine. We serve famous Hatch chile, regional dishes such as tostadas compuestas, & our signature red chile
